She Means Business
Giffords Hailed As Small Business Champion
Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D) went up 10/19 with a new TV ad (release, 10/19). It was produced by Ralston Lapp.
Full script:
BUSINESSWOMAN: "When she and I first met, she could relate to what I was going through as a small business owner, because Congresswoman Giffords did run a business. Her heart is with small business." ANNCR: "Having run a business and met a payroll, Gabrielle Giffords understands the struggles workers and small businesses face. That's why she voted for tax cuts for small business and the middle class, and new incentives for solar to create jobs. BUSINESSWOMAN: "She understands that small businesses are the key to job creation." GIFFORDS: "I'm Gabrielle Giffords and I approve this message."
Iraq vet Jesse Kelly (R) released a new TV ad attacking Giffords (release, 10/20). Full script, "Gabrielle Giffords Abandoned Arizona":
KELLY: I'm Jesse Kelly and I approve this message." ANNCR: "Gabriel Giffords had her chance to stand up to Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi. But instead she voted for their expansive health care takeover. And Giffords voted for $787 billion stimulus package. The list goes on. Cap and trade. Trillion dollar deficit. And yet our economy is in ruins. When Giffords had her chance, she stood with Obama and Pelosi. This election, it's our turn to stand up and say no to her."
